Viola solo

ANA3DSCF9365.jpg

Throughout “Sortilegio” (meaning “Enchantment“), the listener walks alongside the viola sound, on a path of light and shadows. With works by Bach, Reger, Rolla, Vieuxtemps, Penderecki, and Piazzolla, the concert reflects on the different faces of artistic expression throughout history.

A monologue that moves between religiosity, virtuosity, fear, caprice or beauty: all human aspects, in the voice of a single musician.

In this programme, the protagonist is an instrument that is often forgotten, but which has enchanted some composers with the warmth and mystery of its sound.
